Musk takes over Twitter, Fires CEO, Other Top Execs

The world's richest man, Elon Musk, has completed his $44bn (£38.1bn) takeover of Twitter a protracted deal ends as the billionaire and "free speech absolutist".

Twitter's most important shitposter, added the company to his business empire after months of legal battles and insiders.

Musk fired Parag Agarwal, who replaced Jack Dorsey as CEO of Twitter, and Chief Financial Officer Ned Segal.

Vijaya Gadde, the company's policy chief whom Musk publicly criticized, was also fired. Sean Edgett, the general counsel, also left.

Chief customer officer Sarah Personette was also fired, according to Insider reports.

The execs received handsome payouts for their trouble: Agrawal got $38.7 million, Segal got $25.4 million, Gadde got $12.5 million.

And Personette, who tweeted yesterday how excited he was for Musk's takeover, received $11.2 million.

Twitter co-founder Biz Stone thanked Mr. Agrawal, Mr. Segal, and Ms. Gadde for their "collective contribution" to the business.
